Cali Strauhs: The Carry-On Routine

“Bringing cleansing coins + disposables is a non-negotiable.”

Between travel, changing climates, and busy schedules, Integrative Facialist, Cali Strauhs,  relies on a tight edit of essentials and smart rituals to keep her complexion balanced. She shares the products she couldn’t live without this summer, her non-negotiable travel staples, and the surprising skin truths she always passes along to clients.

HER SUMMER SKINCARE ESSENTIALS

This summer my go-to lineup has been:

  • Epicutis Oil Cleanser + The Skinsheet Cleansing Coins“I have always been acne prone, so finding an acne safe oil cleanser, and cleansing thoroughly, is very important. “

  • Forlled AC Cream — “My new obsession. It’s not easy finding an amazing moisturizer that’s safe for acne.”

  • Forlled CLG Biocellulose Mask + “Ice Globes on top = heaven”

  • Forlled P Effect Sheets — “The eye masks I wore on every flight and nearly every early morning. They’re translucent and also have a gentle adhesive so they stay on the skin well.”

  • Hydrinity Spray — “Comes with me everywhere on vacay. Kills bacteria, good for scrapes, burns, etc.”

  • Biomecult Prebiotic Fiber — “You know your diet fluctuates when traveling, so I bring this everywhere to keep my gut (and skin) in check.

  • Factor Five Eye + Lash & Brow - “Duo of the summer!”

HER TRAVEL NON-NEGOTIABLES

“Bringing cleansing coins + disposables is a non-negotiable. You don’t know what hotel towels are being washed with, and people often use fabric softeners which contain waxy ingredients that can clog pores.”

HER SKIN TRAVEL TIP

“If you have melasma, bring a mini fan with you on your travels (and cryro sticks if you feel bougie). Heat can stimulate a melasma flare and it’s helpful to cool down the skin as well as use a mineral sunscreen like Pavise. Mineral sunscreens are superior and create a barrier-like effect that UV rays bounce off of instead of getting absorbed into the skin and creating heat, like with chemical sunscreens.”
